Whether it's plum, oxblood, fuschia, or lilac, purple has been popping up everywhere this fall. Lil' Kim certainly seems to have gotten the memo:

There's no question her skyscraper Giuseppe Zanotti heels make a statement, but they're definitely not something we could pull off every day. Here are a few ways to incorporate the regal color into your wardrobe without breaking the bank (or your ankles).

Lovely in Lilac
Although we typically favor darker, jewel-toned colors as the weather gets colder, springtime pastels were all the rage on the Autumn/Winter runways this year. Of course, the key is moderation—dressing in head-to-toe lilac might get your mistaken for an Easter egg or Stepford wife. When balanced with a more neutral palate—especially navy—lilac takes on a fresh and modern look.

Topshop Knitted Bead Crystal Jumper, $92 // Boutique by Jaeger Silk Collared Blouse, $96 // Start with the Basics Circle Scarf, $24.99 // Ray-Ban Ice Pop Wayfarer Sunglasses, $160 // Navy Ribbon Trim Fedora Hat, $44 // Essie Meet Me at the Alter Polish, $0.99 // Studded Collar Blouse, $11.99 // Cambridge Satchel Metallic 11", $175 // Dominic Jones Fangs Necklace, $93 // Hooded Puffer Vest, $30 // Tory Burch Violet Pant, $225 // Basket Weave Coat, $475 // Zara Kitten Heel Court Shoe, $79.90

The Dark Side
For a more traditional fall look, pair dark shades of purple with gold accessories for a look that's mysterious and decadent. Dark nails and lips are also on trend this season—just remember to keep the rest of your makeup subdued to balance a vampy lip.
