Chris, Dave, and Aziz "Ball So Hard" at Radio CityKings of Comedy
Chris Rock and Aziz Ansari hangout backstage with Dave Chappelle after Chappelle's big Radio City comeback.
Comedians gotta stick together, and that's definitely true for comedy powerhouses Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, and Aziz Ansari.
Rock and Ansari supported fellow comedian and friend Chappelle during his big performance at Radio City Music Hall Wednesday night. It was the first of an eight-show run at the legendary venue and Chappelle's first large show in New York City in nearly 10 years.
After the show, Rock and Ansari hung out backstage with Chappelle and snapped awesome pic of the three comedians. It blows our minds how much comedic starpower can fit in one selfie.
Not only did they hang out backstage, but The Daily Beast reported that Rock and Ansari sat together in the audience and distracted a few people in rows in front of them. But the audience shouldn't have been surprised to see Rock and Ansari there showing their support for Chappelle. Last year, Rock and Chappelle performed an impromptu set at NYC's Comedy Cellar and discussed touring together.
Rock and Ansari weren't the only celebs in the audience—"Veep's" Julia Louis-Dreyfus was also there to join in the laughs.
She captioned her Instagram photo: "So psyched. About to see Dave Chappelle in NYC!"
Chappelle's show at Radio City is quite a hot ticket—it's the second most expensive comedy tour of 2014. During his set last night, Chappelle riffed on the possibility of "Half-Baked 2," his family and religion, bantered with the front row of his audience, and, of course, addressed his abrupt exit from his hit Comedy Central series "Chappelle's Show."
How'd Chappelle do? The reviews are positive so far—inlcuding a rave from Louis-Dreyfus.
