There's a new "Guardians of the Galaxy" trailer in town, and it just may be the best one yet.

"I was only a kid when I left Earth," says Peter Quill/Star-Lord, played by Chris Pratt, in the opening of the international trailer for James Gunn's upcoming Marvel blockbuster.

Unlike previous trailers that focused on the group of deep-space misfits played by Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel, the new international trailer goes back to the origins of Peter Quill when, as a little kid, he was abducted by aliens.

Written and directed by James Gunn, the 10th installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe tells the story of Peter Quill (Pratt), an American pilot who is on the run after stealing an orb that is sought after by bad guy Ronan (Lee Pace).

"Guardians of the Galaxy" premieres in theaters on August 1.
