Hey "Bridesmaids" fans, are you ready to parrrttyyyyy

Well we have some good news! Co-creators Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo are joining forces again to write a new comedy film that hopefully will live up to their amazing 2011 original.

Although "Bridesmaids 2" will likely never see the light of day—which we accept, but aren't exactly happy about—comedic geniuses Wiig and Mumolo will make their follow-up film which, as The New York Times reported, is about "best friends who find themselves in over their heads and out of their depths, which were, perhaps, not too deep to begin with.”

Also exciting: this movie will serve as Wiig's directing debut.

“I’ve been wanting to direct for some time now," Wiig said. "This seems like the perfect first project.”

We can't wait.

Seeing that it has been a rough time for women in the industry—only 16 percent of writers, directors, producers, editors and cinematographers in 2013 were women—it's the perfect time for a comedy that passes the Bechdel Test to once again take center stage.
