Though Robert Downey, Jr. is currently filming "Avengers: Age of Ultron," the sequel to Marvel's "The Avengers" that will premiere in the summer of 2015, the "Iron Man" actor seems to be eyeing an eventual retirement from the fast-paced world of superheroes.

"The smart money is you have to look at everybody's age. I'll put myself at the top of the list. Sooner or later, they've got to start over and get somebody young. I'm not there with them yet," Downey, Jr. said when talking about the upcoming Marvel film.

The actor's statement seems far-fetched given what his performance as Tony Stark has done to help Marvel's "Avengers" and "Iron Man" become the smashing successes they are. (The three "Iron Man" films have earned a staggering $3.9 billion in worldwide box office). So, chances are that he's wrong, and Marvel will keep him in the loop.

In the meantime, Downey, Jr. is celebrating his next birthday (April 4) in a Marvel-ous way by having 50 kids over and screening "Captain America 2." "I run into kids wearing 'Captain America' masks. My kid believes that Captain America is real," he concluded.
