What happens when you cast "Breaking Bad's" Bob Odenkirk, "Sherlock's" Martin Freeman, and "Sling Blade's" Billy Bob Thornton in a badass television adaptation of a cult movie?

Unlike previous teasers, the first full trailer of FX's "Fargo" goes beyond the iconic characters and scenery to provide a closer look at the story. Executive produced by the Coen brothers, this original adaptation of their Academy Award-winning film features a "true crime" story following a new case and new characters—with the traditional mix of humor, murder, and "Minnesota nice" that characterizes the Coen brother's classic.

Starring Academy Award-winning actor Billy Bob Thornton as Lorne Malvo, a ruthless manipulator who forever changes the life of small town insurance man Lester Nygaard (Martin Freeman), FX's "Fargo" co-stars Colin Hanks as Duluh Police Deputy Gus Grimly—a single dad who must choose between his own life and his duty as law enforcement agent.

Written by Noah Hawley, directed Adam Bernstein, and produced by Hawley, Warren Littlefield, Joel & Ethan Coen, and Geyer Kosinski, FX's "Fargo" will premiere its first ten-episode season on April 15.
