James Maslow Rocks the Foxtrot on "DWTS"
The Big Time Rush star takes on his first dance—the Foxtrot.
Things are just beginning to heat up between James Maslow and his professional partner Peta Murgatroyd, who apparently have serious chemistry both on and off the dance floor.
The Big Time Rush star took on his first dance—the Foxtrot—on last night's Season 18 premiere of "Dancing with the Stars." This season is the first to feature a "switch up," in which fans can decide which celebrities and professionals should be paired up, but we think James and Peta make the perfect team.
"I actually met James once before, for dinner—we kind of hit it off...I thought he was a good-looking guy, and then he went away on tour for two weeks, and I didn’t see him until he walked into the studio,” Peta admitted in the couple's introduction.
“Did something happen between you guys,” a producer asked Peta, who responded with nothing more than a coy glance to the side.
James' dedication to his first performance was impressive, to say the least, and the judges couldn't help but agree. "James is on a mission! Such vigor, such attack, such determination! I love the fact that you put a lot of effort in this dance, and I could see it," judge Bruno Tonioli remarked. The judges awarded James and Peta three scores of seven, for a total of 21 points for their Foxtrot.
Great job, James and Peta! We can’t wait to see what you come out with next week.
