"It is the story of our disastrous breakup, which I spearheaded, right before I proposed," says "The Big Bang Theory's" Simon Helberg of his new movie "We'll Never Have Paris," which premiered at the Topfer Theatre in Austin, Texas, as part of South by Southwest (SXSW) 2014.

"It was a painful journey, and so we decided to make a hilarious comedy about all of the heartache and torture that I put myself and everyone else through," explained first-time director Simon, who co-directed the movie with wife Jocelyn Towne.

"He mentioned he was interested in telling the story," said Jocelyn. "And I was kind of like, 'I can't believe he wants to share this.' I hadn't even told my best friends and my family about the actual [breakup]," she added. "I was really scared when I first readed it [the script]. But it was hilarious, and it made me laugh and it made me look at it in a different way," explained Jocelyn. Check out Simon and Jocelyn's full SXSW interview below.

"We'll Never Have Paris" has additional SXSW screenings March 12 and 13. For more details, click here.
