"El Gordo y la Flaca" has been on the air for the past 10 years and has more viewers on its time slot than ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX combined, consistently beating the competition in ratings and sometimes even exceeding The Oprah Winfrey Show. In 2006, Raul was chosen as spokesperson for AT&T wireless (US Hispanic market) and he has had such a positive impact that today, almost 4 years later, he remains an integral part of their team.
In 2003 De Molina published his first book based on the celebrity interviews he has conducted, and exclusive photos he has taken over the years of the world's most famous and important Latin and international celebrities, royals and jet-‐setters. In October 2008, he launched his latest book "La Dieta del Gordo" with Random House, which immediately became a best-‐seller among Hispanic books.
Among Raul’s other successes he is also an accomplished photojournalist whose work has been featured in national and international publications such as "Time Magazine," "Newsweek," "Life," "Hola," "The National Enquirer" and "Paris Match" among others. Additionally, for the past 10 years he has been the Joan Rivers of the red carpet in the most important Latin Award shows such as the Latin Grammy’s and Premios Lo Nuestro. This past December Raul was chosen to be the first person in history to conduct the inaugural Times Square New
Years Eve celebration and lit up New York's "Big Ball." He has previously conducted the Live show at Times Square where millions have celebrated the new year together with him.
Raul’s television career, spanning 16 years includes reporting for and hosting some of the best programs on Hispanic TV. His popularity and ability to capture an audience is evidenced by the fact that his shows were the highest rated while he was a host at the Telemundo network and currently holds the #1 position at Univision.
Raul’s outstanding television performances have earned him multiple Emmy awards and have made him a world-‐renowned personality in addition to undoubtedly being the most recognized and loved household name for Latinos. In his own words, "I am driven by my audience and will go to any lengths to exceed their expectations by providing the stories that entertain, amaze and sometimes even shock." In 2009, Raul was awarded a star in the Las Vegas “Walk of Fame.”
