December 11, 2011Sunday Headlines reported today on Sunday Countdown- Headline 1) One union source called the Browns failing to perform a sideline concussion exam on Colt McCoy a "blatant system failure". An initial league review determined the standard SCAT2 concussion test was not administerd until Friday morning, which produced abnormal results. The Browns medical staff said McCoy initially only complained about an injury to his left hand. Sources say the incident likely will be the catalyst to assigning an independent neurologist to each game in the future.

Headline #2) Lions coach Jim Schwartz reminded his team in a Saturday night meeting he expects his team to play a clean, smart, aggressive game against the Vikings and he well-defined a new zero tolerance policy for post-whistle personal foul penalties to the entire organization. Even if your name is Matthew Stafford, the player will be banished from the rest of the game. In related news, Ndamukong Suh will return to the team Monday after his 2-game suspension.
